9-session 1:1 Coaching Journey

This coaching journey is a space for those looking to align more fully with their purpose, navigate this political and spiritual moment with clarity, and integrate self-work, ancestral wisdom, and strategy into their lives. This coaching offering builds on lessons from my program “In Spirit & In Struggle” (2021), the Spirit & Liberation fellowship program (2024), my academic research, and international exchanges—reinforcing the need for intentional spaces to align the political and spiritual for personal transformation.

Why The Calabash & the Crossroads?

According to Ifá tradition, the calabash represents destiny and purpose, the vessel of what we carry in this life. The crossroads is where we meet choice, make decisions, and catalyze transformation. This coaching journey is about both—understanding what’s inside our calabash and moving through life’s crossroads with clarity, wisdom, and power. In these times, we are being called to choose, create, and align.

While this offering draws from African and specifically Ifá traditionalism, it is for anyone interested in working within the framework of an Indigenous worldview—one that sees us as part of something much larger than ourselves. Whether you are rooted in a spiritual tradition or seeking ways to explore your relationship with ancestral ways of knowing, this space welcomes you.

This is for organizers, cultural workers, healers, and visionaries—those who feel the urgency of this moment and want to explore new ways of deepening their purpose and alignment. Your Coach

Jeanette Charles-Márquez

Ìyá Jeanette is a coach, facilitator, and practitioner with over 200+ hours of experience. She has coached individuals and cohorts from movement organizations to philanthropic spaces—working with emerging and seasoned organizers, social movement leaders, healers, and other professionals to align their work with deeper purpose.

Certified by Leadership That Works in 2020, Ìyá Jeanette was trained by the co-founders of Coaching for Healing, Justice, and Liberation. Since then, she has worked with Rockwood Leadership Institute to People's Action, among other organizer and leadership development programs nationally, to support our generation's freedom fighters. She is the founder of the collective coaching program In Spirit & In Struggle (2021), a two month program exploring the intersections of social justice and spirituality, and she co-facilitated Spirit & Liberation, a year-long fellowship program with the Latinx Therapist Action Network, which held space for movement leaders integrating healing, justice, as well as African and Indigenous cosmologies.

Ìyá Jeanette is initiated into Ifá and is a committed lifelong student of Ifá-Orisa which brings a spiritual depth and approach to her coaching. The Calabash & the Crossroads is an intentional coaching program designed for those at personal and collective crossroads, ready to step into greater alignment, clarity and power during these times.

Those with personal or institutional resources who pay at the higher level will help to subsidize a spot for someone who needs support paying the base rate.

If you sign up early and submit a $400 deposit by March 7th, you’ll receive a guaranteed, discounted rate at $1,400. The remaining $1,000 can be paid in two additional installments.

Pacing: Coaching sessions will take place every other week, allowing time for reflection, integration, and practice between each session.
